‘The Shark Lady’
Gecko’s Hospitality Group has created The Shark Lady cocktail “as a way to raise awareness to the valuable work being done by our own local world class independent marine research laboratory, Mote, and named it after a force of nature unto herself, the original Shark Lady, Mote founder and Sarasota’s own Dr. Eugenie Clark.”
The Shark Lady is now on Gecko’s permanent drink menu and for every Shark Lady cocktail purchased the Sarasota-based restaurant group donates $1 directly to Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium.
“In the past two months, we’ve been able to share The Shark Lady philanthropic cocktail, which also happens to be delicious, over 1000 times,” reads a press release from Gecko’s.
